At HM CPA, we understand that accounting is about much more than numbers. It’s about understanding each client’s individual needs, navigating through the unique challenges they face, and offering solutions that lead to growth and success.

Accounting services

Financial statements

A compilation engagement is usually carried out for companies that have little financing and no obligation to third parties. It’s probably the most common type of engagement for companies that want to have financial statements at more affordable costs.

The purpose of a compilation engagement is very different from a review or audit engagement. The purpose of a compilation engagement is to assist the client in compiling its financial statements from the information available to him/her and is sufficient for the preparation of tax returns. However, a compilation engagement does not provide any level of assurance on financial statements and is not an assurance engagement.
